「想像メジャー」は ”リアリティを伴った像“ を想像する力を養う世界初の知育メジャーです。 一般的なメジャーの機能に加え、メジャーから引き出したテープと同じ大きさのモノがメジャー本体に表示されます。テープを引き出し、身体的な体験として “大きさ“ を感じる事で、使用者に具体的な “大きさを伴った像” の想像を促すと共に、その過程では、大きさ以外の要素もより具体的に想像する力が要求します。 内容は「鉛筆」「奈良の大仏の鼻の穴」など実在するモノから、「一寸法師」「かぐや姫」など空想上のモノまで40種類以上に及び、この新しい想像体験によって子供の想像力を養うことが「想像メジャー」の目的です。

“Imaginative Tape Measure” is the world’s first educational measuring tape that cultivates children’s imagination. It does not only measure objects, but also shows a picture of an object as the same length as it would be in real life. It contains over 40 pictures, such as a pencil, baseball, the world’s longest earthworm, etc. Pulling the measuring tape out, children “feel” the length as a physical experience, and this gives them a tangible perception of the length. “Imaginative Tape Measure” helps to cultivate children’s imagination through a fresh, innovative experience.
